The Aschauerweiher natural bathing pond and swimming pool area has been in use since 1880. Recently renovated in 2002/2003 and is now considered to be Germany’s largest natural pond swimming area. The highlight of this modern leisure bathing establishment is a natural bathing pond that perfectly harmonizes with the surrounding natural landscape. The water is gently cleaned and purified through a plant filter discretely integrated in the pool facility.
The generous dimensions of the Aschauerweiher pool and pond harbors 4200 m² of water surface, making for ample space to swim or do laps, splash and paddle. Children revel in the kid’s pools and on the gravel beach through which runs a stream. Diving-boards, diving rocks, water-slides, a pirate island with fountains, as well as a hanging bridge make for plenty of fun for every child!
Some of the bigger ‘kids’ might prefer to play beach volleyball or frisbee throwing, as well as to simply hang out on the lawn. Grown-ups favor the wooden deck surrounding the pools to recline and enjoy the mountain panorama in the shade of large parasols.
